Best Golf Ball Deals
So called tour balls (with multiple layers and urethane cover) simply provide better consistency and more spin – here is a link to an article published by Golf Digest in 2003 which explains the different types of golf balls.
The big question is whether they justify the cost – typically $45 to $55 per dozen. It’s an expensive process to manufacture urethane, however, I am not sure whether those high performing tour balls warrant the full retail price (Titleist makes most of their profit from golf ball sales).
So, I look for deals on tour balls, once again relying on Golf Digest’s Hot List, such as Titleist Pro V1, Pro Vix, Taylord Made TP Red/Black, Callaway ix, Nike One, Srixon Z-Star and Bridgestone Tour B330s. Here is a list of the best deals found:
